11th Annual College Showcase
This is the 11th anniversary of the College Showcase. It started in 2002 as a four team spotlight with local area teams vs Kansas City area teams. Teams from Alabama, Wisconsin, Missouri and Illinois continue to return to this annual event. This year, the College Showcase has more than 30 high school and college teams participating.
The event has also highlighted some great women's college spring soccer games featuring University of Memphis, Evansville, University of Missouri- Columbia, University of Illinois, University of Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa State, Marquette University, Quincy University, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Truman State University, Maryville University ,University of Missouri- St. Louis and Southeast Missouri State.
The College Showcase was hosted by Hazelwood Central High School from 2002-2006. Games were played at Sportport in Maryland Heights, Mo. Since 2006 it's been hosted by the Parkway School District and moved to Soccer Park in Fenton, MO.
The flood of 2008 caused scheduling problems, but the event still continued.
Our goal each year is to continue to create great matchups and to spotlight some of the best high school soccer players in the midwest.
